Connect your AI

One URL and a sign-in. Nothing to install, and nothing is shared until you say so.

The connector address

Every AI asks for the same thing: this address. Sign in with the Google account you use for SyncMesh, so shares addressed to you arrive.

Claude

Works on the web, the desktop app and the phone app, on any plan that has connectors.

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the address above and add it.
  3. Click Connect, sign in with your Google account, and press Allow on the SyncMesh page.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT calls these apps, plugins or connectors depending on the version you have. Adding your own needs a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) and is done on a computer: the phone apps can use a connector but cannot add one.

  1. On a computer, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. On a work account it lives under Settings → Apps → Advanced settings instead, and an admin may have to allow it.
  2. Open Plugins (labelled Apps or Connectors in some versions) and press the + button.
  3. Paste the address above as the MCP server URL, choose OAuth for authentication, and let it scan the tools. Sign in with your Google account and press Allow on the SyncMesh page. It should find three: publish, fetch and update.
  4. Create it, then open it in your plugins list and press + to install it.
  5. In a chat, type @ and pick SyncMesh, or name it in your message. If it is not offered, switch the tab at the top of the home page from Chat to Work and try there.

ChatGPT warns that it has not reviewed custom connectors. That warning is about anything you add this way; what SyncMesh itself can see is on the privacy page.

No developer mode on your account? Then your plan does not allow custom connectors yet. Everything still works at syncmesh.net: read what people have shared with you, and write notes back.

Your AI asks SyncMesh; SyncMesh never reads your chats.
